Splurge Or Save: The Intern Wardrobe

Hello Lovelies!!

In honor of the first day of summer last week, I thought I would discuss one of the most important topics for students in the summer: internships. And when I started my internship this year, I realized that leggings and denim skirts would not cut it. So, in this post I am going to share with you all my secrets to the perfect internship wardrobe on a budget!

The LBD

I know it’s basic, but it’s a basic that everyone needs! The best part of finding a black dress or two for the summer is that you can always find them on a sale rack somewhere! I found this one on final sale at Banana Republic for under 40 dollars!

The Blazer/Pop of Color Combo

I’ve always had one of these outfits in my wardrobe, but it was not until recently that I figured out how to find it on a budget! I found the blazer on the clearance rack at Dillard’s for under 35 dollars, the shoes were only 40, and the dress was only 17 dollars at Nordstrom Rack!

The Most Comfortable Dress

I love this dress from Virginia Dare Dress Co! The pockets, the comfortable fabric, and the modest look make this an amazing investment! I love how easy it is to throw this dress on and go! Also, it pairs so well with my new earring from Little Sky Stone!

I find that dresses are the easiest pieces to create a professional outfit, though work-ready pants and other styles are also necessary! Let me know if you would like to see more options!

xx,

A

  1. Such great advice! I have an LBD that I wear to interviews and I know a few other girls who do the same – it’s just such an investment piece that makes you look so much more professional.
