“She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future”
Proverbs 31:25
Hello Lovelies!!
I have honestly been so excited for this project ever since my freshman year, scrolling Pinterest for inspiration and stumbling upon this wonderful phenomenon of decorated graduation caps. Initially, I thought with all my studies and lack of confidence I would not have the time or creativity for such a fun project, but now looking back I am truly amazed at how far I have come, and all of the positive changes I have made over these four years.
The diy video I made for this project is FAR from perfect, and honestly it is a hilarious look at how much I cannot diy, so enjoy:
So one part to the cap that I did not share in the video (because that paint pen was a nightmare), is what is actually written in the calligraphy. I chose to write the verse, Proverbs 31:25 (featured at the beginning of this article), for a numerous reasons. First, this is the verse that inspired this blog when I re-branded roughly a year ago. At the foundation of my work, I intend to share positivity in everything I do. The chapter, Proverbs 31, describes a godly woman and her many attributes, and the specific characteristic I choose to highlight is this fearlessness.
As fearlessness relates to this graduation series, I realize that I cannot predict the future and I truly cannot control the life I have ahead. We always want to plan, to succeed, to be the best we can be, but as much as we may want these things, they take so much work and are never guaranteed. At this time in my life, I do not really know what the future holds, BUT I choose to LAUGH, to spread LOVE and JOY while on this journey, because the best is yet to come.
I hope you can learn to let go of your fears. I hope I can help you realize how wonderful you are and how wonderful this world is, and that you can also laugh without fear of the future.
xx,
A
